2015 Fortune Global Forum – CEOs Obsess

THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR CEOs REVEALED

The biggest takeaway from the prestigious 2015 Fortune Global Forum may surprise you.

No matter what challenges CEOs were talking about, virtually every conversation – both on stage or off – wound up focusing back on the role of the organization’s culture in solving them.  It wasn’t always that way.  This change is a result of the digital revolution which fundamentally altered the nature of work and relationship organizations have with employees.  It’s abundantly clear that one of the key ingredients of this new focus on culture is empathy.  The people skills that stem from empathy are more important than ever.  The organizations who cultivate them have the best chance of succeeding in a world where smart machines, robots, etc. are doing more of the work humans used to do.
