As a businessman, Bill is executive chairman of SDSI (San Diego Sports Innovators) whose mission is to make San Diego the capital of the Sports Active Lifestyle (SAL) industry. Sports and fitness technology products are a big part of that. SDSI helps foster innovation and helps companies grow. They offer mentoring, education and access to capital for start-ups. They’re catalysts for best-practice collaboration, access to new technology, the talent pipeline and public policy advocacy for mature companies. They also provide deal flow to their service providers and Southern California Investment Community. This work puts Bill squarely in the world of technology – one of his biggest passions.
