Great Business Speakers: D’Amelio Network Turns 4

Speaking Industry

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, D’AMELIO NETWORK!

It was four years ago this week that the D’AMELIO NETWORK  was born.  Indulge me for a moment as I say “Happy Birthday to us!” to my team and the great clients whose speaking activities we manage.

A SIMPLE IDEA FOR GREAT BUSINESS SPEAKERS

The very simple idea behind the creation of DN was to manage and be advocate for a hand-picked collection of experts who were also great speakers for business events.  By deeply knowing a small group of great business speakers we could better bring their expertise to the marketplace.  Moreover, by establishing a network approach and collaborating with the great lecture bureaus and entertainment production company professionals all over the world – our speaking clients would have more opportunities than ever before.  As it turns out – that’s exactly what happened.

WHAT EXACTLY IS DN?

From the start, the idea was not to try and become a top lecture bureau with hundreds of listed speakers.  On the contrary – the idea was to be small – and stay small – by design.  Our focus was to gather a select group of great business speakers who cover the most pressing business issues – and advocate for them.  Our top business experts offer insights on the most pressing issues facing business: leadership strategies, breakthrough business performance, creating a culture of innovation, revising then business model, motivating the workforce, Washington politics, global business, competition, international politics & affairs and so much more.

MAKING EVENT PROFESSIONALS LOOK GOOD

Our laser-focus on a small roster of clients benefits conference planners and event planning professionals who serve them.  DN is an outstanding resource for great business speakers because the depth of knowledge we provide to those looking to find the right speaker for the right event.  Knowing a small group of just eight outstanding speakers as well as we do, we can explain exactly how their expertise can benefit the audience.  And we are knee-deep into sharing their content on social media: videos, commentaries, television appearances, book news and other timely updates that show just how relevant their insights can be.  By design, our deep focus helps to create an outcome where everyone looks good.

DN: ADVOCATING FOR GREAT SPEAKERS ON BUSINESS

I am blessed to have a great team of committed people supporting the DN vision.  Together we work to maximize the opportunities for our experts and make sure the marketplace understands what they are good at and why they’re valuable for the business meetings and conferences.

As we start our 5th year I am honored to manage the speaking activities of such a great collection of great business speakers.   2015 saw BILL WALTON, ESPN announcer was named one of the Top 50 NBA Basketball Players of All Time, and BOB WOODWARD, the legendary investigative reporter and author join DN.  Their confidence in our work only reassures me of the great future ahead for DN.

To me there’s no greater accomplishment than getting the great stories and insights of our speaking clients in front of more audiences. The DN business model works well – for our speaking clients and for the meeting planners and event professionals we serve.  I am grateful for the chance to contribute to the success of so many events in our first four years — I look forward to DN making an even bigger impact in the future.
