WORLD'S GREATEST LEADERS - THE 2016 LIST

World’s Greatest Leaders issue began three years ago.  GEOFF COLVIN led the effort to create Fortune magazine’s first-ever list.   In 2014 Pope Francis topped the list.  Who’s on top in 2016?  Check here to find out.  Also – read Geoff’s introduction to the feature here.

NOT THE USUAL SUSPECTS

If you don’t recognize some of the people on the World's Greatest Leaders list you’re not alone. The idea is that business isn’t the only arena where we can learn lessons about the new rules of leadership.  The World's Greatest Leaders come from surprising areas of society.

COVERING TOP LEADERS FOR FORTUNE

Geoff has long focused on leaders and impact of their efforts.  The world is uncertain for everyone, yet some leaders manage to create change and lead their organizations through tumult – while others fall short.  There are lessons to be learned from both sides of that influence coin.  One of Geoff’s strong suits is speaking about what the best leaders and organizations are doing right now to successfully navigate this highly uncertain world.

POLITICS IMPACTING BUSINESS MORE THAN EVER

One area of massive uncertainty is American politics which has been turned upside down in 2016.  The business community hates uncertainty, yet that’s America’s political plight.  Geoff’s new speech, “Political Chaos and Your Business” focuses on the impact of the new political disorder is having on the business environment – in America and around the world.

Finally – speaking of politics, Geoff’s Fortune column this week is fascinating reading: The Jobs Conundrum That Trump and Clinton Will Probably Ignore.  Employment numbers are out tomorrow and while the unemployment rate remains low – there’s a huge catch: employment doesn’t distinguish between full-time and part-time workers.  Read his column to see what that matters.
