THE BILL WALTON AUTOBIOGRAPHY IS HERE

BILL WALTON opened the publicity tour for Back from the Dead at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.  The scheduled 2-hour book signing turned into 3 ½ hours.  He was beyond generous with his time - signing photos, jackets, jerseys and balls for fans -- and yes, books, too.  It was great to be on hand to personally see the enthusiasm and love shown by the fans of this incredible sports legend.

THE TWO WEEK BOOK TOUR AND MEDIA BLITZ

The enthusiasm for Bill was repeated at book signings in cities across America for the next two weeks.

At each bookstore he spent time giving an inspiring message to the audience about his improbable life of ups and downs and how he managed to continue on in the face of 37 surgeries. He is easily the most resilient figure from the world of sports.  He's also one of the most beloved. He did over one hundred print, tv and radio interviews -- each generating great reaction from the listeners, viewers and readers.  Here's a sampling:

Five-page feature in The New York Times Magazine

ESPN Radio – “Mike & Mike” - Interview

Sports Illustrated TV interview – On contemplating suicide

NPR interview – Making the most of a life of limitations

AN INSPIRING SPEAKER WITH A MOTIVATIONAL MESSAGE

Bill Walton is a popular speaker for meetings and conferences.  His book, Back from the Dead, highlights perfectly the three things he speaks about:

--Leadership lessons from a life on the court

--Being your best – “you can’t finish what you don’t start”

--Coping with devastating health challenges, healing and recovery
